Fell Beast
I designed this menacing creature from the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings in collaboration with Build Better Bricks. I love building dragons, and love these movies—so this display piece was a total treat to work on!
Model features a flexible, whiplike tail, helmeted head, strapped-on saddle, and enormous wings
Fell Beast has 47 points of articulation including moving toes, unfolding wings, and an opening jaw
Wing “shoulder” joints are ultra-reinforced to support the huge, brick-built wings in any position, and feature a built-in balancing knob
Model sits atop a highly detailed base representing a chunk of the ruined city of Osgiliath with chunky masonry, a half-arch, and iron-studded door
Massive Fell Beast measures more than 28” (72cm) long with a wingspan of more than 20” (53cm); ruins base measures more than 6” (16cm) wide and more than 8” (20cm) tall
